Troop 505 Fall Court of Honor Oct 23

Tomorrows LeaderOur next Troop Meeting will be held at the American Legion Post 6 on Wednesday, October 23rd from 7-9pm. During this Troop Meeting we will be having our Fall Court of Honor.

Parents, Siblings and Friends are encouraged to attend.

Weather permitting, our Court of Honor will be lakeside at the American Legion centered around a campfire where we will have the honor of retiring American Flags for Chartered Organization, the American Legion.

The Court of Honor will be rescheduled 24 hours prior should the weather not be suited for such a ceremony.

Troop 505 Whispering Screech Owl aka Matt Robertson Eagle Ceremony Oct 6

Spirit of AmericaOn Sunday, October 6th, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held for Matt Robertson at Community Church of Chapel Hill. Class A required.

What: Matt Robertson’s (Whispering Screech Owl) Eagle Court of Honor

When: Sunday, October 6th at 3:30 pm.

Where: Community Church of Chapel Hill,

The Community Church of Chapel Hill is located at 106 Purefoy Road (near the corner of Mason Farm Rd.) Chapel Hill, NC  27514. The ceremony will be at the outdoor chapel behind the Charles M. Jones Community Building. There will be signs posted to guide you.

If weather does not permit an outdoor ceremony the event will be moved inside the Jones Building.

Please join us for a reception in the Charlie Jones Community Building.

Troop 505 Black Hawk aka Dallas West Eagle Ceremony Apr 24

Troop Meeting, Eagle Ceremony, Wednesday April 24, 6:30-8:30 at Jordan Lake State Park, Ebenezer Recreation Area, Shelter 8 near Old Oak Trail off Farrington Road about one (1) mile south of NC-64, Apex, NC. If weather does not permit an outdoor ceremony an announcement to be made 24 hours prior.

On Wednesday, April 24, Troop 505 will meet at Jordan Lake State Park Ebenezer Recreation Area Shelter #8 for an Eagle Ceremony. The reception will start at 6:30pm and will include plenty of delicious salads, appetizers and snacks. The ceremony will run promptly from 7pm – 7:45pm. Class A required.

Those Scouts already notified as taking active part in the ceremony, please be at Shelter #8 no later than 30 minutes to reception (practice session for participants will be 6:00 – 6:30 pm).

Troop 505 Summer Court of Honor Aug 15

Our next Troop Meeting will be held at the American Legion Post 6 on Wednesday, August  15th from 7-9pm. During this Troop Meeting we will be having our Summer Court of Honor. Parents, Siblings and Friends are encouraged to attend. Planning for the upcoming Carowinds Expedition Weekend will take place from 6:45-7pm prior to the Court of Honor. Those attending the weekend expedition should plan on attending this planning meeting.

Troop 505 Eli Parker Eagle Ceremony Jun 6

Troop Meeting, Eagle Ceremony, Wednesday June 6, 7-8:30 at New Hope Presbyterian Church, Chapel Hill.

On Wednesday, June 6, Troop 505 will meet at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Chapel Hill for an Eagle Ceremony.  The ceremony will run from 7 PM – 7:40 PM followed by cake, ice cream sundaes, and fruit (the healthy choice) .  After the ceremony, there will likely be a short troop meeting at the church.   Class A.

Directions to church:  The church is ½ way between Chapel Hill and Hillsborough.  From Timberlyne North (corner of Weaver Dairy Road and MLK Blvd Jr.),  take MLK Blvd north bound toward Hillsborough for 3.8 miles.    MLK Blvd will turn into old Route 86.   New Hope Presbyterian Church is on the left hand side.   Look for the balloons on the road.  If you get to New Hope Road you went too far.

Those scouts already notified as taking active part in the ceremony, please be at the church 15-30 min early (6:30 – 6:45 pm).
