We re-joined this Troop with my youngest son several years after my oldest son earned his Eagle as a founding member of Troop 505. It is wonderful to be back with this terrific Troop, enjoying the campouts, meetings, summer camps, and scouting adventure!

We joined this group a year ago after visiting a couple others in the area. We choose this one because it was welcoming and inclusive. The older boys already in the troop were patient with a newcomer (we never did Cub scouts) and tolerant of each kid’s unique personality quirks. The troop camps once a month, meets weekly, and is open to new ideas. It’s been a great experience for my son–a terrific, challenging confidence-builder–and a ton of fun! So glad to be a part of this community.

We joined Troop 505 two years ago after many years in Cub Scouts. We were supposed to visit three Troops. Troop 505 was our first visit and my son instantly said he didn’t want to visit any other Troops because he felt so welcomed. Troop 505 is chartered by the American Legion and is welcoming and inclusive to all. My son also liked that the Troop goes on high adventure trips every other year to Philmont, SeaBase, Northern Tier, etc.
