About Us

Troop 505 is Eno River District’s Centennial Troop, founded in 2010 and named in honor of the 100 year anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. Troop 505 was named in honor of Troop 5, established 1928, the first Boy Scout Troop ever chartered in Chapel Hill, NC.

Our troop is welcoming and active.  In addition to our weekly meetings, we have fun, engaging monthly campouts in which we practice our scouting skills.  We believe that the program of scouting teaches us to be accepting of all people and encourage young people between the ages of 11-17 to check us out any time.
